After spending a few years talking to potential
recruits and their families, there always seems to be
one question that they ask themselves. “Is what I am
doing now enough too get a college scholarship?” To
many times the answer is yes and come signing day they
are left with no scholarship offers to sign.
If you’re a
big time recruit
with countless scholarships to choose from then you’re
right, StudentBlitz is not for you. If you’re like the
rest of the student athletes across the country you
probably need some help. Recruiting is harsh, and
here are some of the hard truths that recruits must
face:
-
Getting a invitation to a camp doesn’t mean you’re
getting an athletic scholarship
-
Taking
unofficial visits doesn’t mean you’re getting an
scholarship
-
Being on a great AAU team doesn’t mean you’re
getting an offer
Sometimes when you’re talking to coaches you feel that
they are going to give you a scholarship any day now.
But as the days pass, an athletic scholarship is
never offered. Student-athletes are so sure that
a particular school is going to offer them, that they
completely stop talking to other schools. That can end
up as a critical mistake on their part, because while
their waiting on this particular school, other schools
are handing out scholarships that they could have
received.
Even when you are talking to 6 or 7 different college
coaches you might get an offer from 1. What if you
never really liked the coaching staff, or they don’t
offer the academic program that interest you?
The best thing to have in the recruiting process is
options. The more schools and college coaches
that are interested in you, the better the
chances are that you will find the best fit for you.
Create a recruiting profile and send it to hundreds of
NCAA & NAIA programs.
Fill out the form above and let StudentBlitz help you
take your game to the next level.
